The 1812 Farm in Bristol, Maine is a stunning wedding venue with breathtaking views and delicious food. My family attended a wedding there in September 2023, and we had a positive experience.
The barn itself is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room for dancing, dining, and mingling. We loved the rustic elegance of the space, and our guests were all very impressed. The grounds are also beautiful, with rolling fields and a pond. The ceremony was inside due to Hurricane Lee, and it was absolutely magical.
The food at The 1812 Farm is nice, not top-notched as I would have expected.
In addition to the beautiful venue and delicious food, the staff at The 1812 Farm was also less than helpful. They were not able to answer simple questions about the food and blocked a guest from entering during the wedding ceremony, the guest stood outside in the rain carrying a baby.
Overall, we highly recommend The 1812 Farm to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue in Maine. It is the perfect place to celebrate your love with your closest friends and family.

Some of food is top-notch (some less than stellar), and the caterer is willing to work with you to create a custom menu that fits your budget and taste.
The staff could be a little more helpful (constructive feedback).

The 1812 Farm, Cynthia, and her staff are amazing! My (now) husband and I got married on 6-25-22 and couldn’t have asked for anything better. Cynthia truly is a wealth of knowledge, great at communicating, and superb at her job. I’m so glad we went with a venue/team that we could trust to make our wedding day incredible.
My husband and I had looked into a bunch of different venues and options, even considering getting married out of state, but ultimately decided on the ceremony at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and reception at 1812 Farm. Cynthia definitely put my mind at ease by answering ALL my questions before securing our date and for months leading up to our wedding. She paid attention to the most minor details, and guided me through securing our final vendors, our timeline, getting me contact information etc. I never felt like I was bothering her with my million and one questions, and it was so nice to have someone to help with the process. She was super willing to give me a call whenever it was needed.
The day of the wedding was more than I could have asked for! The getting ready space is perfect, the grounds are beautiful for photos before the ceremony (and after), and Cynthia even went to Pemaquid to coordinate the walking down the aisle. Sadie the bar cart is such a fun touch for cocktail hour and into the night. We had passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, and a lovely family-style dinner for dinner. Instead of cake (we did have a small one), we had an ice cream bar with Round Top ice-cream, which Cynthia’s team also divvied out for guests. We found the venue to be the perfect size for about 110 guests, and the dance floor was packed (in a good way). Our only wish is that the night could have gone longer as we were having the time of our lives. Thanks so much Cynthia + team for everything!

Lovely venue, good food, attentive staff. Was there for a retirement party. But it could be a nice spot for a wedding.
