Great food, great prices, and great atmosphere. My husband and I ordered a Cuban sandwich with the green fries and coconut shrimp with black beans and rice. Both dishes were delicious, but, if you were to only order one, I would choose the Cuban with green fries. I also loved the free cucumber water!
I saw this place advertised on the news and originally wanted to stop in and try the new North Charleston location but they were closed on Sunday. So, I headed to the location downtown. As a starter I tried the chicken empanada. The inner portion was bland and the outer portion was fried perfectly. I ordered the pineapple coconut smoothie as my drink and it was delicious. My entree was the coconut chicken. Another fabulous dish full of flavor. The plantain were sweet and satisfying. Overall I enjoyed my meal and it's worth a stop in for Cuban cuisine with a twist! I also appreciated hearing Celia Cruz!
If you’re sitting there reading this review and you have yet to go, just know you are missing out. The goodness that is in this place. Dear lord. Never having Cuban food from a restaurant, this is amazing. The flavor combinations are breathtaking.
