This place was very close to where we were staying so we went here for dinner as there were some storms coming. We tried the flight of cocktails and they were all good in their own way. I enjoyed them even though I am not much of a rum drinker. We also got the shared platter of many foods and everything was delicious! The meat was super tender and flavorful. Glad we picked this place!
This place is nothing less than perfect! From atmosphere to the decor it's simply Amazing and the food well the attached photos speak for themselves. All meals are prepared by the owner Chef Paul Yellin who we were fortunate enough to meet and I must say he's an outstanding host. Please by all means have a Moscow Mule with his homemade ginger beer you will not regret it.
Happy Hour menu is an amazing deal, including drink and food for a low price. Ate here two days in a row, it was that good. Unrivaled rum selection, knowledgeable bar staff, house made ginger beer is the base of many drinks including a top notch dark & stormy. Plenty of seating during happy hour and they don't force you to sit at the bar to do the happy hour menu, as it's the case with some other places up the street (so you can get comfortable at a table if preferred).
The ginger beer marinated roast pork, the jerk chicken, empanada, and the mahi bites we're all excellent. We will make a point of returning on future visits to Charleston -- make sure gems like this stay in business, give them a try!
