This was my first visit since Abruzzi opened. The menu is pretty limited but we enjoyed what we ordered. Their take on a caprese salad, using arugula, cherry tomatoes, and burrata is incredibly good. I enjoyed mine with a helping of their lasagna.
Don't judge their presentation by my photo, though, we got our order to-go. The plating is my doing.
I went here with my girlfriend for our 3rd anniversary after a friend told me about how good the food is. We had a great time and some great food too. We started off with the arrosticini (lamb skewers) as an appetizer, then I got radiatori pasta with bolognese sauce and she got spaghetti with marinara sauce. To finish it up, we got a slice of cheesecake and some berry jam. The arrosticini was delicious, especially paired with the tomatoes served with it. While I loved the pasta, I didn't really like the bolognese sauce, but it was my first time having it and it could just be that I don't like bolognese sauce in general and I can't fault them for that. My girlfriend doesn't like her pasta cooked al dente (to me, it's the only way pasta should be cooked), but she liked the marinara sauce on her spaghetti. The cheesecake was a strong finisher and went well with the berry jam. My only complaint about dessert was that the jam had a hint of mint that I thought didn't go well with the cheesecake, but I don't think the jam was originally supposed to be paired with the cheesecake. We asked if they had any fruit sauce for the cheesecake and they said they had something they could give us, so my guess is they don't normally pair them together. Regardless, it was still delicious, mint or no mint. If I go back, I'll be getting the radiatori again, but I plan to try another sauce.
Best food I have ever had, compliments to the cooks. They make the absolute best meals. It's hard to think about eating anywhere else. Beautiful presentation and taste. 10/10
