The Flying Squirrel was a very refreshing experience that catered perfectly to our desire of a night out with drinks and delicious food. We traveled from Nashville to Chattanooga for our anniversary and decided to enjoy our first kid free night with a trip to the Flying Squirrel. The first thing we noticed was the varied crowd which consisted of older people enjoying a drink with friends to younger people enjoying their Friday night on the town. The menu was 6 pages of drinks and 1 page of delicious morsels obviously built around he experience of drinking adult beverages. Their full bar did not hesitate to curb my craving of a mojito ( which was perfectly mixed). We enjoyed the cheese charcuterie plate and followed with entrees of a wagyu beef tartar sandwich and a bowl of ramen. The only cons for the evening were the ramen was a tad salty as our entrees took quite a bit of time to reach the table. This was rectified by the manager with removing 15 dollars from our tab and he did so voluntarily. If you're looking for a spot to enjoy conversation and drinks while escaping the stuffy confines of most traditional bars, look no further than the Flying Squirrel.
First time here but certainly won't be the last! We had and recommend the Korean BBQ Burrito, Shrimp & Grits, Pimento and Bacon Jam. Dog friendly patio, excellent wait staff, wonderful food, highly recommend! Already planning another stop in here.
This was the second time we have been there. The food, drinks and service was amazing, just as good as the first time. The garlic fries, pimento cheese and featured hot wings were delicious and could have come out of a gourmet kitchen! It's super cool vibe and the service was fast and super friendly! Would recommend this place for sure!!!
