Outstanding. Being that it is in a very popular and well traveled location, the atmosphere first off for a Saturday afternoon was ambient. Not too loud where you have to shout across the table due to loud music, or jam packed with patrons. There were four of us, and we sat right next to the "Wine Room", very cool to observe, and we had the Crab Cakes as appetizers. - (That was incredible to say the least- mostly crab meat instead of filler, and it just melted in your mouth.) Instead of fries, we had the grilled asparagus which again: Phenominal, and that I highly reccomend. We had all had the grilled mahi-mahi fish sandwiches on a brioche bun, and you couldn't ask for a better sandwich. The fries, which we passed on earlier with the appetizers came with the meal, and they were again: Cooked perfectly. Not the oily taste, crunchy on the outside, nice and soft in the inside. We also had the kale salad and the chicken salad, and they too, were in good size, and so fresh and crisp. They have a great selection of beers, and wines, and to top it off: The Key Lime Pie was the finishing touch of such a wonderful experience. How did this happen? We can thank John who was not only serving us, but tending the bar among other things. He was extremely efficient, very knowledgeable, and split our foods up perfectly when we asked him to, and at times, even without asking... John: Thank you, and we appreciate your humor, and your quick wit (Next time, we'll run with our jogging clothes all nasty and sweaty so we can get the wine room seating- Yes: This is an inside joke...lol) By the way, the wait staff, to the manager, and the one that reserved our seating: Very-VERY accomodating....(Thank you). We will most definitely be coming back. Without question.
Our second visit, this time I had the prime rib. It was the perfect size for the price about 12 ounces. The side of creamed spinach was delicious and very different. The Mac and cheese is also very different and tasty. Service can be challenging but the food is fantastic. We stepped out of Lollapalooza with the kids for lunch. The wines are also a good price. There is no other place like this around the area a very good excellent place.
Find a turkey burger on the way home.
Take the bus from the Apple store south to 20 N. Michigan on the #3 Bus to Washington and walk to Remington's.
The serve was very good. The place had a warm touch. The menu covered a lot of ground. Roc just wanted a turkey burger.
Remington's delivered the goods with Asia cold slaw, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce on a brioche bun. Yes, I copied Roc selection and add fries.
We finished the sandwiches and on the bus transfer. We took the #4 Cottage Grove Bus home ....
