This was definitely an experience it’s an open restaurant inside of Eataly. Meaning there are no walls separating the restaurant from the rest of the other restaurants or shop. It’s on a higher floor to a view overlooking downtown chicago. The server was extremely pleasant, Informative and patient. It was for Eataly’s restaurant fest and we got a deal two courses for $26, there were specials on the wine as well. The pasta came with a table side presentation. There was one pasta dish that was more on the bland side but all the other dishes tasted amazing. Definitely worth the experience.
We loved being able to shop all the ingredients and cool Italian staples you don’t find anywhere else when we were done with dinner as well.
Your party is seated as long as half the people have arrived. This is a good policy, but was thankfully abandoned on a slow Wednesday at 6pm, leaving time for a couple people in our group to park and find us on the second floor in the back of Eataly while others could sit and puruse the menu, get drinks and enjoy the view.
Wine is poured at 5oz, or 8oz if you want a generous glass 🍷
For food, the pizza is probably the best choice here, but there are plenty of other options. The ravioli is done perfectly al dente, with splatters of ribboned mozz and cherry tomatoes. The swordfish was, apparently, over-seasoned. The calzone took longer than other dishes, but was generously pre-cut into slices for easy consumption.
The dessert menu is wonderful, but you can also go down to the dessert and gelato bar on the 1st floor and bring something back up.
The pizza is really good. The crust is just about perfect. The branzino was also delicious.
A little overpriced for what it is, but a solid choice for pasta and pizza. The simple the better really and their prosciutto pizza is really good.

Compliments to a great server, Chris!
Just wanted to take a moment to compliment the service we received from Chris this evening. You guys were super busy, the restaurant was at capacity, and he was fantastic! I appreciate a server who does a great job, and he handled our table of 4 adults with a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done!
Incredible Italian food... Brought me back to memories of the real thing when I was in Europe last! You can tell by how they source their ingredients that it's going to be fresh, and the taste does not disappoint. We had the lasagna, calzone and suppli appetizer... Everything was incredibly tasty. Would go back here any day of the week!
Great attitude by our server, Scout! Quick and attentive service.
Massese: great choice for meat lovers with a beautiful Neapolitan style crust, could use a little more basil.
Mezzi Paccheri Al Ragu Toscano: Loved every bite of the al dente pasta. The short rib bites in the ragu made it a very tender and delicious meal.
My first time at this wonderful Italian restaurant. Great ambiance, family friendly. Smiling and professional staff. The food was freshly made and was yummy. We could savour every flavour. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will visit again.👍🎉
The antipasti and spaghetti were our favorites. The paccheri was a tad undercooked (the innermost part of the pasta was raw), though the flavors were good. The food came out in a reasonable time and the service was very nice, just a little slow.
The ambiance is very casual and felt a bit like a cafeteria. Extensive wine list and a handful of mixed cocktails. Rum punch was delicious. We had green bruchetta app and it was unusual without the tomatoes but really tasty. The pasta was good, but surprised the sauces were a bit on the salty side.
fantastic Italian restaurant inside eataly. everything was great.
