Fantastic brunch experience, lovely atmosphere, very cozy and with a '1920s retro pub' feel throughout. It bothers the hell out of me that UK bangers are not a standard sausage that you can find easily throughout the country, much less the city, because American breakfast sausage really doesn't compare. Crispy and juicy, paired with a hard cider, plump tomato, crunchy rashers, saucy beans and two kinds of pudding...a full Irish is one of the best meals a man can have. No mushrooms, oddly, but a bowl of mushroom soup fulfills that requirement, and the taste/texture was quite mellow and enjoyable. Service with a smile, too... I didn't expect a fussy, happy, glamorous Irish lass to handle my order, but I was glad I got one. She was a peach, sweet and efficient and made the whole experience more fun. I must say, the pricing was a little steep, but I only spent about 70 minutes in the establishment. Were I to come with a handful of friends, at night, with some good music or a baseball game on, it would probably have been a 5 hour 'experience', making the price of admission more about quality time versus making good time. Either way, I had a ball. Hope to go back soon, see how much more trouble I can get jnto with that weekend menu. π
Stopped in for a couple of drinks. Classic Irish bar with beautiful wood interior and seating. With the various types of beers offered, our server/bartender was knowledgeable of what's what. Would stop in again to try out their food.
The best Irish breakfast I've had here in Chicago. Eileen is the Saturday morning bartender and she's lovely.
Chuy is the best bartender AND the fish'n'chips are the best in the city of Chicago, bar none! The cod is so fresh and flavorful, the batter is deep fried to perfection, the "chips" are perfectly done, tartar sauce delicious, and the cole slaw is pretty good too! Great beer selection and wines are good. We will be back!
Sean was my server. Amazing guy. Lovely, friendly host. Food was good. Fair price. Good environment. I order GF salad with grilled chicken. Buffalo wings and fish and chips. We shared our food. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Service was fast. We ate outside but went inside for for bathroom and sitting. Super nice and clean place. I truly have nothing negative to say about my visit here.
A neighborhood bar with yummy food offerings. I enjoyed their Shepard's pie wheels, and rolls. My hubby loved the fish and chips. The shrimp pasta was delicious. π Burger Was tasty too ππ
I went in the afternoon and it had a family vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. Extensive selection of beers. I had a salmon sandwich and the salmon potion was pretty generous :)
Service was sort of slow but waiters were always busy
Love everything about this place. Both brunch and dinner food are great. They have a ton of beers on tap...and great prices compared to most city bars. The staff is probably the best part. Super nice really fun.
Great Irish Pub βοΈ Sports Bar in Ravenswood area currently having Christmas Decor and amazing food π₯
Any Manchester United Fans should definitely visit π
Good selection of Seasonal Beers on Tap and well as regular options. Wide variety of Beer Cans, Bottles, Wines and Hard Liquors like Whiskey, Vodka, Gin, Rum, etc.
They serve cocktails too!
We just had their seasonal and tap beers. Ordered Curry Chips which were crispy fries π served with Irish Gravy and Shephardβs rolls served with mashed potatoes. Portion is huge.
The service was slow though as they only had 1-2 people working during busy hours.
We found a gem! Great and beautiful neighborhood pub with excellent beer selection and tasty food. My wife said the angus burger was beyond compare. My daughter loved the shepherd pie, and I loved the fish and chips. The atmosphere is upbeat and friendly, and you may get serenaded by an Irish patron as we did π. As. 5 stars indicate, service was spot on too. Highly recommend!
