If you want a unique experience, you definitely don't want to overlook this place. I will say this, the food is not going be the most amazing thing you've ever tasted, but it is good enough to compliment the overall experience and not detract from it.
The main focus of the food here, if you didn't already catch it from the title, is Chinese food with an emphasis on steam buns. In my opinion, the Bao are overpriced. If you are looking to have superb Bao at a good price, look elsewhere. If you visit this place, think of it as seeing something really interesting with the added bonus of having a decent meal to eat. All of the Bao were quite good, and if you have a sweet tooth, give the matcha Bao a try.
Now you might be wondering why I gave this place five stars if I think that the food is overpriced and I've said that better Bao can be found elsewhere, and that's because of the unique and ingenious way in which the food is served. Standing before the many small cubicles that also function as small displays, my friend and I were wondering how the food would be delivered. See, the screens are see through, so we were thinking that it would be very disappointing if we were to see someone on the other side place the food in the box, or we would need to see something super amazing the moment that the door opened to make it worthwhile. Well, I'll let you find out what happens. Just know that its really cool and it actually creates a sense of anticipation that is shared among all those waiting for their order.
As a plus, each month they have different lemonade flavors and I think that's a nice incentive to visit the place more than once.
What a one-of-a-kind experience! This is the ultimate introvert restaurant. The whole process is automated and futuristic. There's a kiosk for ordering food and then it comes out from unique, animated windows. The food is freshly made and delicious. I tried several different bao, the dumpling soup, and a spicy beef noodle bowl. Two thumbs up! I'm definitely coming back here.
Was intrigued by the self serve and pick up cubbies. Decided to go there for a snack. Ordered a chicken bao (bun) and some pot stickers. The food is actually pretty decent. The chicken bun was so so, but i gotta say the potsticker were not bad. The most fun is seeing how futuristic dining can one day become.
