Took my two younger sisters here for brunch, and we all loved it! The wait staff were super attentive and the absolute friendliest, even though they were quite busy. I loved the history decorating the place as well. The food was amazing. I got the Blue Jay breakfast, and the eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was that perfect marriage of crispy and chewy, and the home fries were delicuous as well. The omelet was also very flavorful. All portions were great for the price, and the coffee was good, too! Will definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu!
I just have to say thank you to all the hard-working staff. It's your efforts that make this place what it is.
It's easy to see why this is local favorite and for many the go-to restaurant. The prices were low and I was really surprised by that..
Some of the regular diners were also helpful at making sure I ordered the proper breakfast, they wanted to make sure I had a good proper Cincinnati style breakfast 😀.
One of the things that I ordered was kinda like a hot dog with a TON of shredded cheese . I think it was called a Connie? The locals will know . Delicious. My wife had a traditional breakfast bacon and eggs . It was also nice to see how the staff treated the local residents of Cincinnati with a lot of patience and kindness and love. The obviously know what they're doing they've been serving the people since 1965 I think ?
This restaurant was recommended to me by a staff member that works at the famous sign museum just up the street... Another must see place.
The only thing that I didn't quite like was the coffee. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what but it wasn't quite to my taste. Perhaps I can bring them down some Tim Hortons tins of coffee next time 😅😅🇨🇦🇨🇦 thanks again for the great food . It's a place I highly recommend
It is also location for a few movies that were filmed there ( for all those movie buffs out there)
This little neighborhood diner features a counter with an old-fashioned menu board surrounded by booths and four tops. The breakfast menu contains standard American breakfast fare with a Cincinnati accent--a goetta and egg sandwich, an omelet topped with Cincinnati chili. The omelets were filled to the brim, the potatos were crispy outside, soft inside, the portions were generous and the coffee delicious. Service was efficient and brisk. We were there on a very busy Saturday morning, so the hand cooked food took a while to come up, but we left with happy smiles and full bellies.
