I enjoyed the elephant ear and the doughnut. Service was fast and friendly. The mini museum in the side room was really neat. Went back the following day for breakfast. Sadly they were only accepting cash because the machine was down but it happens it's technology. Service was quick and food was good in the diner as well.

I was more than impressed by the great service and friendly manner the staff exhibited yesterday in my faltering! I spilled a pint of milk yesterday while enjoying a treat with my boys. The staff came to my aid immediately and quickly cleaned up. Bubba even brought me another pint of milk! It was obviously not my day. I discovered I had locked my keys in the car. Bubba came to my rescue! He took some tools from his arsenal of police equipment and unlocked our car! (He was a veteran police officer, served 30 years!) So often police are spoken of disrespectfully, but my boys had the opportunity to see a "cop" as our hero yesterday. I am so very grateful we had this opportunity!

I grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and every week my parents would go to our local awesome bakery to get Salt Rising (Stinky) Bread. At some point, 10 or so years ago, they quit making it and I've been dying to get my hands on some! I googled "bakeries that make salt rising bread", and yours was at the top of the list. I ordered two loaves and had them sent to my parents and one for myself! I am in heaven as this bread is AMAZING! Thank you SO much for the superb customer service and the delicious bread that took me back to my childhood. I am definitely going to be ordering more!

Yesterday my family and I drive from Saginaw. We had a great lunch in the diner, browsed the gift shop and bought some doughnuts and cookies to take home. They were great. Lunch was amazing.

We've been here too many times to list and it's simply a wonderful establishment. Love the diner, the donuts, and the merchandise! Today we received amazing service from a young man, Mason - if I remember correctly. He was really outstanding!! Keep up the good work!

This is an entertaining restaurant and doughnut shop. I had a beef pasty which was quite good.

Phenomenal variety, quality, and service. Every employee appears (no assumptions) to enjoy their job and works hard to ensure a great customer experience. It doesn’t hurt that the food (diner attached) and baked sundries (even the “day old” stuff) are exceptional. Now, if only I could convince someone in charge to open a precinct in the Grosse Pointe /Saint Clair Shores area.

I fondly remember my mom walking my siblings and I to the city bakery as a kid. It was always a special treat to get donuts and take them over to my grandparents house. It’s a sweet memory every time we can visit. And now one I can share with my children. I’m glad the police department kept the bakery going. And these donuts are something special. Definitely better than any you’d find at a chain store!

I go to Clare just for cops & doughnuts. The donuts are amazing, the story of how it started is amazing, and it is so much fun to visit.

A lot of different kinds to get With a nice cafe right there too if you want lunch or just coffee to go with your donuts. The lemon square was too sweet for me. Everything else was great. Claire has some nice shops on that block So good to stroll around. Really friendly staff at C&D

Visit Eight Point Lake many times a year but the trip wouldn't be complete without a stop at Cops & Doughnuts! Huge, delicious Apple Fritter last night hit the spot. 👍🏼

What an amazing place. Definitely worth visiting if driving through town. You can buy everything from tee-shirts to donuts. Met Bubba (one of the owners), what a wonderful man to sit down with and have a conversation. Doughnuts are above and beyond... bacon cinnamon rolls!!! Can't wait to come back!

I love stopping here when in the area. They have amazing large donuts with lots of filling. Just the way I like them. Cool fun concept. We found a parking spot on the street because I don't believe they have their own parking lot. There was a small line as well since this appears to be a popular donut shop. Don't let that stop you from trying this place though, you won't be disappointed.

On a random Wednesday while doing fieldwork in mid-Michigan, a friend of mine happened to call and highly recommended stopping by at Cops & Doughnuts, which was 20 miles off my route. Absolutely worth going off route: these are the best doughnuts I’ve had in the US. The texture of the dough, the savory flavors, the amount of sugar, everything was at the perfect level. Also, the staff was efficient at service and had an awesome attitude.

Fantastic pastries (love the squealer and the apple fritter!) and bread make this the perfect place to go when I'm craving a sweet treat. The cafe next door is very welcoming and the menu looks good but I've yet to spend more than a minute or two there. The bakery is amazing, with the scent of sugar, cinnamon, cherry or whatever else is baking in the glass doored kitchen welcoming you into the shop and making me want to buy one of everything. I'm a little picky about pastries but I've never had anything from here I didn't love. The staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food they're selling. If you're lucky, you'll meet Greg, David or Bubba, some of the owners. Great people who make the shop cozy and comfortable. The tasty part comes from those working in the kitchen making pastries, breads and sandwiches.

Super nice staff with an amazing collection of bakery items to choose from. Location has a wonderful selection of police memorabilia through out the shop and a cute little store to buy merchandise. The desserts were amazing!

This place has quite a history. I don't want to misspeak the lore, so I won't get into it. Just another reason why you should just go there and find out what it's all about. This was my second visit to this establishment. Both times I've had something different. Both times I've been 100% satisfied. The pastries and baked goods are top notch. The dark roast coffee was good. In addition to the baked goods there is a nice gift shop selling Cops & Donuts souvenirs, general Michigan related souvenirs and Michigan products such as candies, jams, jellies, and the like. It's very much worth spending some time perusing their wares. The service was good. The restroom was quite out dated and could use a little spiffing up. With that said, it was clean. Cops & DOnuts is worth the excursion into the little town of Clare, Michigan. You won't be sorry.

I don’t even remember what I ordered because I was so jealous of my date’s Boston cream long John! I know what to get next time! I also grabbed some one dollar last chance donuts to have for breakfast the following morning. I highly recommend grabbing either. If you’re on a budget, the last chance “parole” donuts are pretty great. Also- I lied earlier about not remembering what I ordered. It was a lemon fried. It was delicious.

Great donut spot as the destination for a traditional "out and back" bike ride on the rail trail. Staff is very friendly too.
