I enjoyed the elephant ear and the doughnut. Service was fast and friendly. The mini museum in the side room was really neat. Went back the following day for breakfast. Sadly they were only accepting cash because the machine was down but it happens it's technology. Service was quick and food was good in the diner as well.
I was more than impressed by the great service and friendly manner the staff exhibited yesterday in my faltering! I spilled a pint of milk yesterday while enjoying a treat with my boys. The staff came to my aid immediately and quickly cleaned up. Bubba even brought me another pint of milk!
It was obviously not my day. I discovered I had locked my keys in the car. Bubba came to my rescue! He took some tools from his arsenal of police equipment and unlocked our car! (He was a veteran police officer, served 30 years!)
So often police are spoken of disrespectfully, but my boys had the opportunity to see a "cop" as our hero yesterday. I am so very grateful we had this opportunity!
I grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and every week my parents would go to our local awesome bakery to get Salt Rising (Stinky) Bread. At some point, 10 or so years ago, they quit making it and I've been dying to get my hands on some! I googled "bakeries that make salt rising bread", and yours was at the top of the list. I ordered two loaves and had them sent to my parents and one for myself! I am in heaven as this bread is AMAZING!
Thank you SO much for the superb customer service and the delicious bread that took me back to my childhood. I am definitely going to be ordering more!
