I did not visit China Garden's headquarters, but ordered takeout instead. The man who answered the phone had to pass the phone to another man who spoke English more fluently. Completely understandable. After that little debacle, the man took my order as I requested and warned me of a call back. I received that call 10 minutes later and straightened out the payment. After another half hour my food had arrived to silence the stomach troll, and I couldn't wait to dig in. The delivery man was friendly with a smile as soon as I greeted him. The smile could have arose from my cookie monster shirt (I'm 6'6), but I believe he was a genuine fellow. The food was what I would expect from a buffet. I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken and was delighted by how much sauce they provided for my dunking pleasure. The fried rice is a bit on the bland-side, but with a little soy sauce I fixed that problem. Overall, I would give China Garden a good rating and my stamp of approval. A long day of being on my feet was silver lined with takeout chinese and the sweet feeling of satisfaction. Now me and my stomach troll can go to sleep.
$5.99 Chinese lunch buffets are usually some hole in the wall place with unimpressive food but China Garden is exceptional!!! I travel a lot and Chinese is one of my favorites. I googled for info and chose China Garden because it was close and had a couple good reviews. Food was excellent, good choices, friendly wait staff, and the place is neat and clean. They even offer Mongolian Barbeque during lunch! I will go back when I am back in town. This is a great value for lunch and Dinner was under $9! WOW!
