Small place with great decor, comfortable atmosphere and superb service.
The beer selection is good, but more darker beers would be an improvement in their offerings.
A short food menu offers some great shareable snacks and a handful of entrees. The cheesecake was really tasty.
The 4pm open time was a bit inconvenient relative to my convention session schedule, but I worked out a couple of visits.
A recommended stop if you're in the area.
I love the Matterhorn fries. My boyfriend & I devoured them. Surprisingly, we liked the crispy onions on top. We're both not big on onions, but it was a nice cherry on top. My Bratwurst was good, but the bread & veggies weren't anything great. The potato salad was good. Not at all what I was expecting, but it was delicious. My boyfriend said the Chicken Schnitzel Cordon Bleu was a bit overwhelming. The beers weren't bad for the price. The server was pleasant, & attentive. The restrooms were clean. I enjoyed the feel of the place & the picnic tables. A place I would go again with friends.
12:30 on a Sunday with a volleyball tournament happening. Lucky enough to get in and order quickly. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. They have German beer options as well as local beer favorites like Deep Ellum. I had a Franconian Amber from Texas.
