The place is not on the beaten (i.e., fake rustic, pseudo authentic) path, but the food is great and I am not much of a princess! The staff is friendly, and I felt I got good value off the beaten path.
I've visited multiple times and intend to return. Some people would prefer the ambiance of Spring Creek, Dickie's or Sonny Bryan's, but the meat is better here. Just tell them how you want it.
This is BBQ how I like it. Super tangy and just the right amount of spice. All the classic sides you need to go with good meat. The big downside being that service in the store and delivery were both super slow.
We went on a Sunday before 6pm so there were local live bands...the music was good, but way too loud couldn't talk at all...had to wait between songs.....No Cover just free live bands....pretty cool...
The greens were the best I have had in all of Dallas
My little ones loved the mac & Cheese
The loaded baked potato was loaded and massive
I have the Turkey and dress...very good.....
We will go back...
