Hands down the best meal I’ve had in a minute ! The greens were cooked perfectly. The brisket smoked over night to perfection ! With Just the right amount of fat 🤤🤤 the tenderness of the meat was the best part aside from that natural smoked flavor we all enjoy . The barbecue which I got on the side was really good too ! Not too tangy or spicy but still flavorful 😉 even corn bread was good! I had my daughter with me so I really appreciated the changing station in the restroom . As well as the cleanliness of the entire place. You could tell Everything was freshly cleaned. They’re HoneyBun Cake !! Omg it was amazing. Shouts out to their baker 👍🏽👍🏽 There was also an upstairs and a Dj space . It would be the perfect place to host an event . The owners do allow you to rent the space depending on the event and availability. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for Soul food in Dallas
Absolutely delicious! The name has changed to "Hunnicut Cafe" so my husband and I almost passed it up but I am so glad that we did not. Between my husband, our daughter and myself, we ordered neckbones, smothered pork chops and a turkey leg with mac and cheese, cabbage and dressing which came with cornbread so we had plenty of leftovers. Lol The owner was incredibly sweet and patient. They also provide generous portions so it's a winning situation! We will definitely be going back.
