My husband, son and I ate here for the first, but definitely not the last, time last night. We enjoyed everything immensely from beginning to end. The service was impeccable. The hostesses/waitresses were friendly and informative and very helpful. Our waitress recommended that I try the sabich, which I haven't had since I ate it in Israel two years ago.
The homemade chumus was absolutely delicious and combined with the lemon/green schug sauce, pickles, onions, fried eggplant and hardboiled egg, accompanied by fresh warm pita, I was in heaven.
My son and husband ordered falafel. I tasted one of the patties. Just enough heat, herbed and spiced perfectly and fried to non-greasy perfection and fully loaded with everything to their specifications. Our waitress checked on us just enough to be conscientious of our needs but not annoying. The owner loves what he does (we spoke to him) and was warm and friendly.
I recommend that you try the food here. I'm dying to try the Shashuka and other specialties and chumus platters but my mouth is watering just writing about the sabich and falafel. Come to eat, sit and enjoy. Bitayavon. Sababa!
