I received a call from my Cousin with some horrific news!!! He told me Aloha will be closing their doors this month. I couldn’t believe my ears, I couldn’t believe the lies coming out of his mouth. Is this true? The sad truth, it is very true. I heard this and dropped to my knees holding my chest and gasping for air in disbelief and reaching my hands to the sky and praying for forgiveness, because I moved away and didn’t even get to say goodbye to an old friend. My emotions are all over the place right now. I’m confused, I’m hurt, empty inside, and feel like I cannot carry on. You guys were the hidden gem of Decatur. You were definitely top tier in customer service, cleanliness, and serving up that delicious pineapple chicken. You jump I jump, right? I wish you guys all the best in your new endeavors. I’m not saying you have to, but if you want, please email me for my address to send over recipe cards and samples. Until next time, my dear friends.
Aloha Restaurant is an interesting Chinese restaurant that dresses up as a Polynesian place. But its a really nice Chinese place that has seafood and some Hawaiin mixed in. I have to say it isn't Polynesian but they have alot more Seafood and interesting combinations that will make me go back and try again.
The service is really fast and despite having a larger party with us, it was relatively quiet. There was tons of seats, the food was well cooked, good prices, it was clean, and we overall had a good time.
I suggest if you want a good Chinese place, come here. If you want some Asian/Hawaiian seafood, come here. You won't regret spending your money here.
It had been 21 years since I had been there. Same comfortable atmosphere, same great mixed drinks (recommend the double vision). Great Asian cuisine.
