Wow this is my favorite brunch spot I’ve had in Denver. Everything was so flavorful! The place looks like an old time Victorian house and it’s beautiful. The service was a big slow for my liking. The food though, five stars. Everything was flavorful and did not need any extra salt or pepper. We both got a dish that had fried chicken on it and to be honest by the looks of it they looked like they were burnt because they were a bit darker but they were juicy and not burnt at all. Had the chicken and waffles, the chicken fried steak, grits, and hot cocoa. When I tell you everything was delicious…I will return and I recommend to everyone. The collards are soo good and so is the jalapeño cornbread. The gravy is amazing too.
4.5/5
Great brunch spot and very well known throughout Denver. It's a great southern - esque food spot that seems to specialize in brunch to me.
Everything was super delicious that we had here. I'm very excited to come back and try more options but you really can't go wrong.
Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the price. It was over $50/person which is really hard to justify for me. We did get drinks with the food, but man, $50/person gets you a really nice dinner. This is brunch.
I'll still be back though - it was that good. Might just avoid getting drinks next time (even though the bloody Marys were super awesome).
The food and service here are impeccable! Very kind happy host, amazing coffee and drinks & the food was bursting with flavor. We tried the breakfast pasta which was amazing and the smoked salmon benedict which was made with super fresh flavorful smoked salmon. Wish we had a Sassafras where we live!
