I would have to say this is the best restaurant in Denver. I travel here once a month for work from Seattle. Lower48 Kitchen is always my first stop. The food and service is impeccable. If you like unique food, as well as deliciousness that makes your pallet melt, this is your place. I can't even describe the food combinations. Everything is so unique and unlike anything else I've ever had which is very surprising coming from the Pacific Northwest.
The decor and atmosphere are very inviting. The food is as good as it gets. The wine/beer list is spectacular. The service is friendly and warm. This is a great restaurant.
Actually in my opinion this is the BEST restaurant in Denver. Everything I've had here is phenomenal. The dining experience is always great too; the waitstaff is professional, courteous and exceptionally knowledgable about food and wine. Sometimes knowledgable waitstaff can come across as snobs, but not here; wine food advice comes with a very eager to help attitude.
Being a small plate restaurant means you'll get to try several dishes during your visit and all of them are delicious. The menu changes regularly so don't expect to come back for a favorite, but that's ok because you'll always experience great food.
I have visited Lower 48 several times in the past year. With many great choices for upscale dining in Denver these days, I don't often return to the same place this many times. While many restaurants boast fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, none of them feature the creativity of Lower 48. Each time I have visited Lower 48 I have had at least one or two dishes that I haven't had before and likely an ingredient or two that I have never had before. While food creativity can sometimes fall on its face, Lower 48 delivers delicious food every time. Bon Appetit.
