Gave Thompson's a try this past Saturday.
The menu was more diverse than the sportsbar atmosphere might make you expect.
Service was pleasant and responsive.
The portions were huge enough to feed two people each, and I can eat! Prices were very good too.
All 3 meals we ordered were very good albeit the chicken in the Alfredo was a little charred but still, overall, very yum.
The baby back rib meat just fell off the bone and was some of the best I've had. The sweet potato fries were light and grease free.
The chef on duty, Ryan i believe s his name came out to greet us with a smile.
Im a craft beer lover so id like to see more beer selections but we will definitely return.
We hope they stay consistent so we'll have a new go-to eatery in downtown Dover.

A place where they treat you like family. Always something to watch we have something to eat or simply just want to have a quick drink. The wait staff is phenomenal, owners are the bomb!
Had a great night there tonight. Food was excellent, drinks well done. AND it was oysters and gin night. OMG my new favorite thing. I had posted a previous review giving them only 3 stars because the first night I went wasn't great, I had to delete it to upgrade it. Clearly that night was an anomaly. Highly recommend the pot stickers appetizer and the Tavern dip sandwich, and don't upgrade to fries, the house made chips are Soooo good. I was also very impressed when I first posted my other review I was contacted by the restaurant immediately, and they were actually concerned and wanted to be given a chance to make it right. That says a lot too. I will be back, with more friends. My Mom also enjoyed it, esp. the view
