Great place in the perfect spot to get away from anything resembling work (unless you're a bartender at a tiki bar) with down to earth staff, good food and just the right kind of drinks. Literally on the water without the seasickness, you can pull up to the dock on kayak, pontoon or any other boat or park your truck, hitch your horse and walk across the plank and enjoy an afternoon.
Without trying, I was able to forget that I was on a lake in TN and felt like I was back on vacation in Florida without the jacked up prices. Probably not the first time many of you have heard this, but it's bigger than it looks and they live up to it. If my birthday weren't in December, I'd want my birthday party to happen here. I can't wait to go back!
If you like live music, they have their schedule posted and a large area to enjoy it. If you don't like live music, they have plenty of opportunities for you to avoid it and enjoy a relaxing drink and lunch.
Definitely worth going. Make it a destination, rent a pontoon and spend a day on the lake.
Saw the sign for this place off the highway and decided it looked like a fun place to stop. It’s tucked a little back if you are driving but completely worth it! The owner, Mike, and the staff are very friendly and made great suggestions for food and drink. Even welcomed our dog with a Corona bucket full of ice water. Support local! They are crazy busy on weekends and have live music and if you feel like a challenge you can park bring your RV in and stay at Camp Fat Daddy. (They suggest 40 and under rigs but be sure you are comfortable with a tight bridge and turn)
We love Fat Daddy’s! They have Good food, a Gift Shop that has new items every time we stop by. Bands every Saturday & Sunday. A Splash pad, corn hole & bring your quarters for the turtle food to keep the whole family entertained, they are open 7 days a week & the vibe is Happy!! If you haven’t been yet…you are missing out😬
