We visited twice in the past week. On our first visit they were very busy. They had a person who took people to tables, got menus and drinks as well as clearing tables. This allowed the other two or three of the wait staff to take orders and deliver food. They were very efficient and friendly. Food was very good! On our second visit my husband and I shared an avocado burger with supper yummy sweet potato fries so we had room for dessert! The Toffee Pecan pie that I had was yummy (heated and a la mode). My husband enjoyed his Apple Blackberry pie!
After driving through Wyoming we wanted a place with great food. As you walk into the cafe, friendly voice greets you and says to sit anywhere. Informal atmosphere, good variety on the menu. It was hard to choose. Friendly wait staff. Food was delicious, and pie is their specialty. The filling of the boysenberry was just the right combination of sweet and tart. The crust was doughy, not flaky. Cowboy cafe was just what we needed after a long drive on a freezing day. Might go again tomorrow.
Great cafe with excellent food and atmosphere in downtown Dubois. The combination of cafe decor with both locals and tourists dining gives this establishment the genuine western vibe. The menu is surprisingly sophisticated with a good combination of hearty and innovative fare. All three meals here were memorable and satisfying. Service was very good even though you can sense that they are like every other business right now in that they are lacking enough employees. Kudos to the cook and wait staff for doing such a great job. Will definitely return when back in Town. Also when dining here you should absolutely save room for the amazing pies!!!
