I’ve gone here a few times! This time we got jjanjangmyeon, tteokbokki and some kind of jjigae. Food is pretty authentic, but not the BEST of best. But it’s pretty cheap for college students so nothing could beat that. I think they do a pretty good job on soups. The only thing that’s an inconvenience is parking.
Great food. Great prices.
The kimbap was phenomenal. So fresh and so good. My favorite thing I tried. It came with wasabi and soy sauce. It’s traditionally eaten by itself but nothing wrong with a little soy sauce.
The squid app was fine. They threw in fried onion and bell pepper with it. I was hoping for a little more squid for the price.
The kanpungi was really good. I got beef. It was listed as spicy but wasn’t at all. I’d recommend getting shrimp kanpungi.
Their kimchi rice was good. But I could barely taste the kimchi. I don’t think it was fermented enough. It’s listed as spicy but was not at all.
Their chili oil needs a lot of work. It was spicy but not tasty or like any regular chili oil I’ve had.
And the prices are really good for the portions you are getting. The service was great too.
Overall: 8.0/10
Food was incredible, we ordered the Galbi and Dwaejigogi Bokkum, with the Hae Mul Pa Jun as a starter. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive. Our waitress in particular was spectacular, thank you Mika! We will definitely come back to this restaurant to try other dishes.
