I am VERY impressed with the quality and tastiness of the food, the portion sizes, and the service. I'm usually hesitant to order Barbecue dishes at small Ma-Pa places like this, but I took a chance and boy am I glad I did. The prices were pretty much in line with most chain restaurants, my only concern is that I might go broke from ordering there too often! Thank you Snack Shack for setting up shop so close by.
Very good burgers, BBQ is not bad but the sauce is a high fructose corn syrup based overly sweet (and to me inedible) variety. Service is friendly but slow, the interior is the hole in the wall variety.
Dang its good. Small, maybe 7 booths and 2 mini tables, but in good weather you can eat outside. Lunchtime is busy. Industrial neighborhood just past the railroad tracks, across from the mobile home park, and about 1/2 mile from where the losers and druggies hang out in Island Park. So, not exactly the Ritz. Family sized business. BURGERS ARE JUST GREAT. Specials. Small bathroom. Friendly service. It used to be known as Suzy's if you remember that far back. Slightly higher than normal prices, but worth it. Parking in front and in back. I go there as often as I can, turn right at the U-haul off Main Street. It's in Glenwood, just west of the city of Springfield. Go for the burgers and shakes and fries..yummmm. It's a good 15 miles from my house but worth the gas and time.
