After Pad Thai closed on State Street, I just couldn't find a Thai place that was worth going to, but now that Yum Thai has opened, I'm a regular customer. The food is fantastic, some of the best Thai I've ever had. My girlfriend and I particularly like the Thai Cashew and the Pad Si Ew. We've also tried the Pad Thai, the fried green beans, drunken noodles and most of the appetizers. It's all delicious. And the ingredients are very high quality and always fresh. I've been there about ten times and the quality has remained consistent.
Only thing is the dinner prices are a lot more than the lunch prices and come with less food (no free egg roll/rangoon and soup, entree portions are the same). Still worth it at dinner, but I'd recommend lunch. You won't be disappointed.
Today was my first time trying out Yum Thai in Georgetown. They have a great selection of delicious food, they try to use local produce (when in season) and it's obvious the dishes are made from scratch. They also give you the option to choose how spicy you would like your dish to be (from no spice to very hot). I will be going back because the food was delicious and the service was fantastic!
Very cozy and quaint, the server was very nice, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. The food was excellent!
