Ambiance is great! Location and vibe are current and interesting. The decor is inventive and chic.
Service was spotty. Waitstaff seemed a bit confused/stressed, but it was busy, and still in the soft opening window. The owner was lovely, attentive, and accommodating for our large party on a weekend night.
I enjoyed my dish - the grilled cheese was on the smaller side, but I actually liked that about it. Cute Campbell’s Tomato Soup accoutrement for a bit extra $$. The fries were DOPE - maybe the best thing I tasted. A goat cheese & fig pizza was dry - could use a ricotta base, or something to wet it down a bit. Maybe a basil pesto.
It’s clear that some things are still in motion, and several menu items were not yet available. I look forward to returning a little further down the line when the ‘new place’ madness has calmed down.
The Pancakes La Zona are pure Heaven! Toasted Almonds, House Ricotta and a hint of Orange Marmalade. Oh, my what a pure delight! We also ordered the Brunch Pizza. The Green Tomato Pesto, Avocado and poached eggs were fantastic. One of these was like a main meal and one was like desert. Guess which one we finished first! We will return to try the other new items off of the Brunch menu.
All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. I look forward to cooler weather and enjoying the beautiful garden area while having a great meal.
What a fantastic place to eat. Great food very authentic and clean and refreshing. Best calamari I have ver had. Alissa was a amazing server never had an empty glass or beer. She was amazing at recommending food choices. We will be back again and again.
