We had a great time at Poplar Haus. We stayed in "That 70s Cabin" and it was awesome. Really cool, cozy 70s vibe. My wife and I worked a bit while we were there and the wifi in the cabin was very fast so that was a plus. Owners and staff are great hosts as well. We had a fun time talking with the bartender and owners. Great people. Great food too! Duck wings are a must. Better than expected tap list too. We will be going back!
My husband and I were super nervous to go to a restaurant, since we haven't gone into one (coincidentally, Poplar Haus) since March. We felt immediately safe and comfortable at Poplar Haus! Staff wore masks the whole time, and it was great seeing the guests be so diligent with them as well! Food was great, and you can't beat the view during peak fall colors!
I was not expecting this. The food is incredible and more of what you would expect from the twin cities foodie scene and not up on the Gunflint. The burger was amazing and in our top 3 ever! It even beat out the Parlour burger with the sauce and two smashed patties. Also we ended with the butterscotch dessert and it was so intensely good we wished we each had our own. The atmosphere, the food and the service are well worth the trip!
We also stayed in their Forager cabin and it was clean, quiet and serene. The attention to detail was so cute and the hosts were friendly and welcoming.
