Looking for oxtail? Plantain? Rice with beans... jerk chicken, etc? This is the spot to get it! Food is impeccable & that homemade love flavor in each bite. I've had multiple different dishes here before, but the oxtail takes the cake.
Tonight was my fiance's and my first time eating here and we were very impressed with both the service and quality of food. The establishment was very clean and the waitress was very willing to help us decide what to order based off our specific likes. I would give this place a 5+ if I could. It's definitely worth going to. We have added this business to our list of favorite date night dinner locations.
Let me start by saying I have West Indian and Caribbean in my background so my palate is very familiar with the seasonings and spices of that region. This hits no where near the amount of heat and spice you would normally find in authentic food but we are in the US and sometimes the palates here cannot tolerate the heat. But, it is good. I've been coming here since it opened, and since there's only one other true Jamaican spot in Greenville, there isn't much to compare it to. The rice and peas are standard, but the rice us fluffy and not overcooked. I always have the oxtails (pictured) and they are very fall off the bone tender and flavorful. In my eyes, the cabbage could be steamed just a little longer, but that's because I don't like very crunchy veggies. The portions are slightly smaller than Jamaica mi Irie and the prices are fairly standard, although they run slightly higher but with supply and demand, I get that. The restaurant was clean and quiet, not busy for lunch and the service was good.
