Love this place! Wait staff is always friendly and very attentive! The coffee is always nice and hot too! There is so much on the menu it’s hard to decide, but everything I have tried is really good. You can do call ahead seating which I recommend son the weekends. It tends to get really crowded, but worth the wait!

We first had take out here last year and absolutely fell in love with the food. We haven’t had a chance to go back. We went to the one in Denton the first time, but discovered this one much closer to us. The restaurant is super clean, and the hosts were kind and friendly. They were constantly smiling was serving and overall the environment was warm, making you want to go back again and again.
We ordered the Berry Dream Pancake for our kid. It was soft and pillowy, and wasn’t too sweet even with the cream cheese topping on it. It came with fresh strawberries and fresh blueberries. It was the size of a plate so it was enough for the kid. We ordered the Vigas and the Congress Street Benny for the adults. The Vigas is one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten made out of tofu. I despise tofu with all my heart, but I will eat the Vigas here AGAIN AND AGAIN. The flour tortillas are nice and soft, but a little chewy. The salsas weren’t as spicy as I remember them, but were still delicious. I could make them into tacos and the tortilla held all of what I put in.
The Congress Street Benny tasted a little bland, probably because of the proportion of avocado and tofu being uneven. There was more avocado then the tofu, the tofu came with some chilli powder sprinkled on it. The chipotle sauce tasted like chipotle Mayo but wasn’t as spicy as the chipotle Mayo. But my husband loved it all the same. The hash brown was nice and cooked as well. The restaurant is definitely VERY expensive even if the food is good. I would definitely come here again, maybe not in the next few weeks, but possibly once a year. If you are in the Dallas area, do not miss this place for brunch.
For all my vegan, vegetarian, gluten free friends out there, do yourself a favor and try this place out! Nearly everything can be made to fit your body's needs and in a wide variety of flavors!
In addition, the service was friendly and fast overall. We had very little wait on a Sunday morning, though we were slightly ahead of the after-church rush. The atmosphere here is upbeat and incredibly clean, with a dash of sophisticated efficiency from both front and back of house.
I peaked in the kitchen while on my way to the bathroom, and both were super clean, though the bathroom was considerably less bustling than the kitchen, thank goodness!
Today it seems the only kitchen flub was the hash browns. I'm not sure if the potatoes weren't soaked long enough after shredding, or if the batch our table got was just rushed in the cooking process...but across the table everyone had starchy, gummy hashbrowns with very minimal browning or seasoning.
My only caveat is the prices. Even for scratch-made, expertly cooked food delivered hot and fresh and with a smile, the dishes were not upscale enough, not the location prestigious enough to warrant such prices.
Biscuits and Gravy with eggs and hashbrowns are $14.50! That's more than double what I would consider expensive for such a humble dish. While it was tasty, it wasn't anything to write home about, and certainly nothing to justify such a steep markup.
The Loaded Potatoes are another laughable example of outrageous pricing. For $14.50 you can get some cubed potatoes, cheese and eggs. You also get two of either meat or veggies. Any additional ingredients start at $1 to add. Hardly loaded: a loaded baked potato has at least 7or 8 ingredients, and you can get one the size of your head for less than $10 at a place like Jason's Deli.
Let's say you want to have your taters with bacon and peppers, but also want tomatoes, mushrooms, and onion. Now your dish is $17.50.
Nearly 20 dollars for a paltry excuse of a 'loaded' dish. These are State Fair prices, and just like the State Fair, I'll only go back to give my family an amazing experience.
DONT MISS:
• Green sauce that comes with the breakfast tacos. Fantastic and complex flavors that really compliment the fresh tortillas!
• Oreo latte. Reported to taste of midnight snacks and simple childhood memories, but with the adult flavors of coffee, too.
• Texas-Sized pancakes. One will fill you up, and there's a ton of great flavor options: Birthday Cake, Cinnamon Roll, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake all looked really good, but we settled on Blueberry Strudel and have zero regrets.
• Any of the Mimosas. We shared a carafe of the spring special Pineapple Mimosa, and it was great! Strongly mixed with the lightest of pineapple flavors, it felt a little like my champagne was walked past a few pineapples on the way to our table.
• Superb front of house staff. Enough people scheduled that the team was operating smoothly, even with large parties arriving and departing, the dining room was seamlessly reconfigured a few times during our visit. Everyone working had an air of confidence and cheerfulness, not the fake-happy of corporate breathing down everyone's neck, but the real joy of being good at your job with a team who is good at their jobs too.
When a member of a large party accidentally bumped into a server carrying ice waters-sending a small but cold shower down onto shoulders and floor, the staff responded beautifully. Apologies made, jokes delivered to ease tension, and towels produced from thin air followed shortly by a fresh round of ice waters which safely landed on the table top.
That wasn't just one server doing a good job, that was a whole dang team of awesome people seeing and filling a need to ensure their brunch service sailed on bravely into the rush. Y'all BARELY looked flustered and that's something you should all be very proud of.
I was going to leave 3 stars, but the FOH knocked it out of the park today. I hope y'all in management take note and give everyone a well deserved bonus!
