This is a very low key establishment. It’s not big and the concept is a boat. It’s cute and the service is pretty fair. They are fast and the food is good. The ramen is good quality and the broth is to die for. I thought I had to leave because it was lots of pork options and no chicken. I don’t eat pork but they offered a vegetarian menu🙏🏽.I’m serious it’s totally unexpectedly delicious . A happy find with quality ramen. The Gyoza was seared to perfection and the rice was a bit bland but was fixable with a little soy sauce. All in all was glad we stopped by. Also they do not serve alcohol bummer and there is an $18 minimum fyi😕
Small restaurant with long wait at certain times. Each time we visited HNL, we were always curious why the wait was so long. Since this time my hotel was next to it and I was solo, I timed it and only waited 20mins to try my Waikiki "ramen challenge" for dinner (although I only had time to try 3 locations during this visit. Lol). This was the first of 3 (1/3). Got the most popular and recommended bowl, the ox tail ramen. I was hesitant looking at other people's ox tail bowl but decided to try it, nevertheless. It was decent and good but not wow or close to it. I was actually somewhat disappointed but it was good enough to finish. Broth did not have the depth and flavor as anticipated.
(The ramen was not made at the restaurant or fresh made.) The price was rather high too for the bowl. For this bowl, almost 4*, and I would not return.
Delicious ramen options! Prices were a little steep, but worth every penny! Server always made sure we had a full glass of water. Very attentive staff and authentic ramen in my opinion!
