Dangerously delicious! You can smell how good it's going to be from the parking lot, which is usually full. Inside, get a table, then grab a basket and gather the ingredients you want in your bowl - take a little less than you think you need, because next is meats and noodles and broth. Food comes out quickly after your basket hits the kitchen. Dessert is included and is a refreshing way to finish what can often be a heavy meal. The staff is polite and attentive, and Auntie is likely to come check up on you herself. I admit I don't go often, but I really enjoy myself when I do.
I thought this place was excellent. I loved the food and the staff are so so so friendly especially if you become a regular. Their pricing is very fair. They have a lot of selection. They are also very generous with their portions and timely with serving. Very deserving of a 5 star rating and i would definitely come back here to eat!
It was my first time here and the staff was very friendly and helpful in showing me and my friends how to make our ingredient selections and go through the rest of making our ramen.
First, you get to pick as many ingredients as you want and put it into your own basket. The ingredients are all in containers with lids on them in refrigerators. You can go hog wild if you want, lol, but just remember that everything is priced based on weight. There's also meat options that are displayed on cards you can bring up with you that are a set price for a set amount.
There's so many ingredients to choose from but my all time favorites are the many mushrooms!
After the ingredients are selected, you get to pick your choice of broth and then noodle type. There's a pretty good selection of both broths and noodles, but if you're not a huge fan of celery, like me, then unfortunately you'll find that the majority of the broths have celery listed as an ingredient in them.
BUT... even though my distaste for celery is great, I went with the seaweed broth (which had celery in it) and absolutely loved it! The pieces were smaller than the size of green peas, which made picking them out kinda hard, but allowed them all to be easily avoided in my normal eating.
My friends and I were actually discussing the celery and we think it may be an added item with all your other ramen ingredients. We came to this conclusion cuz they still had a kind of crunch to them even after they were discovered near the end of the dinner. We assume that if they were a part of the broth from the beginning then they should be soggy from sitting in it for a while beforehand. But we're not sure... Maybe try asking for no celery if you aren't a fan?
Anyways, one other thing that really stood out to me was once we got our food and were eating at the table, Aunty came up to my friend and offered to help him take the shell off his shrimps. Totally wasn't expecting that! She made sure we had everything we needed, and then some. We'd periodically get her checking in on us and making small talk to make sure everything was good and that our waters were filled.
Overall, I had a great first time here. 10/10 would eat again!
