Nice environment Indian restaurant with excellent service. Food was good.
The restaurant has some strange rules on the menu, an entree per person when dining in, 18% service charges applies to all sit in dining (not sure if gratuity or general charge), rice is an extra on all the entrees (usually included).
Ordered mahi mahi coconut curry, with garlic naan and chai tea.
We’ve gone twice so far. Both times the food was super flavorful. The first time we went our waitress was Wendy. Super helpful with recommending dishes and drinks. We had never had Indian before so her suggestions were really appreciated. We got the butter chicken(a must) naan bread , the cheese and garlic are both good but we preferred the cheese. It seemed to blend with the flavors of the food best . But both were good. The lamb came out on a sizzling hot skillet along with onions and peppers. Went perfectly with the naan and butter chicken. We also got the mahi coconut curry. Yummy when sop it up with the bread. The only thing we got and didn’t order the second time we went was the chicken kabob. Not even flavor.
The second time we went we got Sufi as our waiter. He was also very helpful and patient with us(asking a bunch of questions, asking for an extra table to hold all of our food etc)
We love this place and will be back again! Amazing chefs 💕 I really don’t get the bad reviews. Btw we got a level 6 for our spice level. We’ll dare to do an 8 next time. 6 was pretty weak but still so flavorful!
Short walk from most hotels and food was great! We got there right in 6 and it was empty, but within 30 mins it started to fill up. The price and was good for the food.
We ordered 2 garlic naan, lamb roganjosh, chicken coconut curry (this was divine! Creamy!) and rice each and 2 glasses of wine each. Total with tax and tip was $110.
Food came quickly, service on the drinks was much slower. When we wanted the second glass I had to chase the waiter down. But otherwise the food was tasty! It was the perfect serving size too. Highly recommend!
They said they could do lamb masala which wasn't on the menu. It was very good, and very quick. clean tables, tile floors (alot of Indian places have carpet),well lit (a lot of Indian places are much dimmer). friendly, good layout. Right by the Modern Hotel. Certainly liked it.
I thought the food was really good! My chicken was tender, the saag had great flavor. The waiter was attentive and accommodated my special request. I would definitely go back. I did ask for the spice level to be the hottest, and I thought it was quite mild. Either I have a high tolerance, or they err on the side of caution.
Great Indian food in Waikiki. Definitely recommended. We had kadhai paneer and Malai kofta. With garlic naan and roti (they were tandoori, which is great). Just the location (discovery bay mall) is not good, but otherwise all good with the restaurant. Would come here again.
After reading the reviews, we weren’t expecting too much but were craving a spicy meal. The food exceeded expectations - we got the chicken tikka masala, shrimp coconut curry, the palak paneer and garlic naan and they were all very yummy. Atmosphere was a bit lack-lustre but not bad. Would recommend if you are wanting a tasty Indian meal.
They will charge u service tax and tip extra but if you aree in Hawaii and looking for authentic Indian food must try this place, food is really nice
Amazing location and the service was good. When I was there they were short staffed so they had a policy to order anything upfront and that's it, if you want any curry's or any other dish once you are seated they can't take the order. They were okay with taking order of desert and rice. However they did take my one order of Na'an bread. Na'an bread was amazing and delicious as it was fresh and was made right there. Their lamb Rogan Josh was super delicious however biryani was no where close to biryani it was more of a fried rice. Overall one of the best places to eat. They serve Halal meat and chicken.
The food was tasty and well-prepared. The ingredients were fresh. The spicing was authentic. We had gone to this restaurant during the end of July 2023. I would highly recommend it.
I was not expecting much before I got here. But I must say I was really very happy with the quality and quantity of food. We ordered tandoori chicken, chefs special lamb, and chicken dhania. Everything was delicious. Definitely recommended. I rate it 5 stars.
This restaurant is at a 2 minutes walking distance from Hilton. We ordered Rack of Lamb - $36, Lamb biryani -$ 18.95, and Onion salad - $ 1.95. The total bill, including an 18% service charge (included in the check), was 69.82. My wife ordered the biryani; she gave it four stars, I liked it more than her. I'd give it five stars. However, it is different from the biryani that you get in Delhi or Seattle. Will we order it again, and was it value for money - yes. I ordered the lamb. The server told me that he couldn't make it spicier since it has to be marinated in advance. The lamb was a bit bland for me. However, it would not sell if he made it spicier since not many Indian/Pakistanis make up his clientele. According to what most Americans eat, the owner has to make the food less spicy. I'd say that the lamb was value for money, significant portions. I'd give it four stars. Would I order it again - well, no, but only because I wanted it spicier. If you are okay with fewer spices, go for it. For the owner - since he is reading the reviews - please take a breath and reply after a day to one-star reviews. Your reply to a bad review affects the business more than a bad review.
A few of my friends and I have been craving Indian cuisine lately. We decided to try Bombay Palace and were pleasantly surprised. We split the naan bread, rice, mango lassi, sizzling shish kebab, and coconut shrimp curry. The taste of the shish kebab took me back to Istanbul. Savory, aromatic, and precise, no fluff, just true flavorful perfection. The portions were plentiful. Clean, pleasant atmosphere, royal service, careful attention to our needs.
Located conveniently on the cusp of Ala Moana and Waikiki at the Discovery Bay Center, go ahead and give it a try. I think this is absolutely hands down my new favorite Indian restaurant.
This place was great! The mango lassi is DELICIOU!! Definitely recommend.
Excellent food, clean restaurant and reasonable prices. Had a great dinner. We have been coming here for about 10 yrs. Consistently good. Had Veg Samosas, channa masala, Chicken Kadai, naan and roti this time.
Must try: Garlic Naan. The best I had in the US. Curries are delicious 🤤
