I’m glad I was able to include this place on Google Maps. We found it while visiting Honolulu. It’s a real gem.
Fresh paella in a huge portion, costing a fraction of what you would pay in a restaurant.
Go try it, because the next time you visit the island they probably will own a fancy restaurant and you will pay much more for the same food!
I've been searching far and wide..and finally I came on this lucky day. I saw this place on yelp many months ago but never was able to stop by here. They are located in King's Village at a farmer's market. The first time I came here they were no where to be found. I asked one of the other vendor, they said they were at a wedding party that day. Darn..I have to come back again.
Second time, I found them! He had two big wok pan (one with already made paella and the other one is cooking the paella). We came around 4:30ish and half of the cooked paella was gone. We made it before we had to wait for the next batch. Yay~ The owner was awesome. He was nice even though there were crazy and impatient tourist around the area.
A plate of paella was $11. It had seafood (shrimp and mussels), chicken, peas, and a lemon. I saw him putting some saffron. The texture was more wet and a bit spicy. Tangy and spicy flavored food. My favorite! Something I've never tried before. Love to come back for more.
Really good food and one of the best Paella I ever tried.
