Best place to eat German food in the Fayetteville area. You have to make reservations at least a day ahead usually, because it fills up quick and she doesn't take walk-ins. It's a husband and wife that own and operate the place. He waits the tables and she does the cooking. She's German, and is probably 60-70 years old and still has her accent, so you know its good.
Note: Germans have strange salads compared to salads here in the US, but they're really good.
My wife and I just returned from living overseas in Germany for a few years and this place is an amazing reminder of Germany. The food is fantastic, all fresh made, and just like if you ordered it at a German Gasthaus. Marita is very friendly and happy to talk to you, her husband is a little more...reserved...but once you get him talking is a wonderful person. They run the diner out of their house, which is a typical German way of doing things. The food and drink are delicious, and Marita is more than happy to go out of her way to ensure a great experience.

Everything is home made and the portions will ensure you leave full and happy. We have been back repeatedly and highly recommend you come here if you want an authentic German dinner!
