Enjoyed the Christmas Brunch.
Nice setting, good buffet brunch with plenty of options.
Staff was excellent.
Only thing missing was hot tub down for repairs.
One of my favorite places to stay.
New owner has made many repairs.
Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.
We got the seafood buffet while we were staying here. The food was good, but we weren’t sure worth the $90 price for two. The crab would have been extra and is usually included in most seafood buffets I’ve been to. The dining room is elegant and beautiful and the staff was around and busy making sure everything was stocked and glasses filled.
However, the ambiance was completely destroyed by the radio playing that we felt was more for the staff. We couldn’t get over the lady Gaga, commercials and today’s hits playing during our very high priced experience in this elegant dining ballroom piece of history. It was so distracting, annoying, and we felt it was very out of place for such a historical classy place. We would have loved an ambiance that is more fitting to the atmosphere of the hotel and it’s era.
Oh and it’s NOT a 24 hr restaurant. They are really dropping the ball on this and with the bar too. So many people leave the hotel to find food and drinks and their money could be going to the hotel. Not sure what the issue is with the bar, but it was closed more often than not. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was for the convenience of the bar. Which was not open until 5:30 on a Friday and Saturday?
Ultimately, we love this hotel and can’t wait to see its full restoration back to its true glory days.
