TL;DR It is amazing
So at first I was a little skeptical of this place. Its relatively small, and at first glance, the prices seem a little high (12 dollars fpr a meatball sub, with subway right next to it) but I decided to give it a try. The owner was manning the register, and when I told him I was new to the area he explained what makes his restaurant different, hand made everything, fresh every morning, family recipe. He had a Brooklyn/New York accent and how he explained everything was just like a screen out of a movie, and super friendly. I ended up getting the sub (I got the full size, but only could finish half, it is so big, defiantly worth the price) and it was amazing. Fresh meatballs, sauce, and bread. You defiantly get above the quality you pay for here. The meal was on par or probably even better than most reservation/sit down restaurants. Super fast service too, I didnt wait for more than 3 minutes be for I had my food. Definitely recommend and will be going back!
Meatballs seem like such a simple food, but I could come here for lunch all the time. My recommendations are the beef meatballs in either the spicy marinara or the Gorgonzola sauce. The first is classic, and the second is great if you're craving something creamy with just a little of the cheesy funk. If you're super hungry, you can opt for the sandwich or pasta, but I have been perfectly content with the meatballs on their own or with the house salad. Easy access in the downtown tunnels
Missing this place post pandemic. Excellent food and service. The herbs and spices give are greatly balanced. Are you opening back up?
