This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant--you can't really beat the prices, the food is great, the place is laid back and usually quiet. The owner, Miguel, is so nice and personable--he is usually the one waiting on the tables and makes every visit great.
Not sure why more people haven't found this place but it is a gem.
Try the Carne Asada!! :D

Simple but Neighbourhood Joint

This place had good reviews so we checked it out last night. As others have mentioned, nothing to look at on the outside, BUT the inside is clean and comfortable. We came early (5:30) on a Wednesday afternoon and were the only people there. That's OK. Other reviews said the same so we expected it. Waitress had limited English, but that's OK. She was polite and friendly. I'm a Yankee in Houston for 8 years. Have tried a lot of Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants. Don't consider myself an expert....but this place I like. The place has character and the food is good. I'll be taking visitors there in a couple weeks.
