The fajita burrito and the barbacoa taco is what I had for lunch. So good! The fajita meat was seasoned perfectly. Not too much to overpower the meat and not to little where it just taste bland. The rice inside was spot on also, had a hint of tomato taste to it, nothing too strong. The tortilla that held everything together was just great, cooked to a nice golden brown all around. The barbacoa meat was just packed with flavor. I squeezed a little bit of lime just because I'm used to it. But it definitely didn't need it. The waitresses were so nice and helpful also. Just an all around great place, I highly recommend going.
The al pastor tacos were pretty damn good. I've only eaten here once. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed. I read in an article that the owner has plans to move to a new location near BBVA Compass Stadium in East Downtown. Until then, I will be patiently waiting for that pork roasted on a vertical spit.
Great little taqueria just north of downtown. Their specialty is trompo, achiote spiced pork with a pineapple on top to flavor the meat and keep it juicy. A dish prepared on a vertical pit, similar to shawarma, and shaved off to order. Everything I've tried is top notch but I come back for the tacos de trompo.
