We have gone to Supper Heros since shortly after they opened. When I initially heard about it I was put off by the idea of a theme restaurant, even more so since I’m not the least bit interested in comic books. One visit let me know that they are all about the food though. My wife and I have tried a good portion of what they offer, which does change from time to time and have not been disappointed yet. Any burger off their menu that catches your eye will be well worth your money. I believe this is because they start with a really good basic burger and add to that to land on unique, quality, specialty burgers. We have probably all eaten at restaurants that are heavy on image and light on actual good food. This is not the case with Supper Heroes! It might not all be for you but if it’s on the menu rest assured that plenty of others are buying, eating and loving it. Their other sandwiches are just as good. The Bat Out Of Hell is an awesome meat loaf sandwich that I’ve seen on must try lists for the area. I’ve had several of these and totally agree! Most of the burgers and sandwiches I’ve had at Supper Heros come with fries and slaw. I’m a slaw guy and try it everywhere I eat that offers coleslaw. I rate theirs as some of the best. It’s got a pinch of heat which is a little different. Like pretty much everything here it is a unique, delightful surprise!
Supper Heroes strikes me as essentially a family business. If you are there any amount of time Mike and/or Mark (owners) come up front to check on you. Several but not all of the waitstaff that I’ve dealt with over the years have been family in some way or another. Not sure where everybody hangs on the family tree but I’m certain that they all do a great job! They invite you to become a part of the whole thing as well. For a long time I was a weekly customer and was greeted by name even when I called an order in.
These people are having fun with what they do too. I suppose the theme is a way of sharing that fun with their customers and it works. I’ve seen kids in costume there. That tells me a trip to Supper Heros is a real event for them. You will notice that there are some pretty different names on the menu: The Used Car Salesman, The Redneck, The Luchador, The Beatdown, The Bat Out Of Hell. I had the monthly special, a Kriss Kross on my most recent visit. All these names are tongue in cheek references to something about that meal. I had to go to YouTube and watch a video to figure it out but I finally made the connection between what I ate and Kriss Kross. Would be willing to bet they have a lot of fun coming up with their new menu items and what to name them.
The bottom line here is that Supper Heros is a real treat for any number of reasons. If you haven’t been by you really owe it to yourself to give them a try if this kind of food is on your radar at all. I could not recommend Supper Heros more highly!
This was a great place. We will definitely be back.
The comic theme resturant, comic theme menu, movies playing, and a poster room was a great idea. The food was delicious and priced well. We had the loaded fries, patty melt, and chicken finger baskets. Service was quick and polite.
This by far one of the best restaurants! Quick service, great food, awesome atmosphere! I Highly recommend this place to everyone!!
