Once upon a time there was 2 Lord Ashley’s. One on East Washington and one near Oaklandon. The one on Washington is no more. This location is going strong with a change of ownership 12 years ago. It is a kid friendly joint with both a full menu and a full bar. When we can we like to start off with come fried mushrooms. They serve a generous portion for $7.99.
Wonderful place, great food, good specials, and nice help. One of the city's gems.

I'll be back. I've lived around this area for a few years, and have had a hard time finding a place I really liked to eat. My mother suggested trying Lord Ashley's because she noticed the parking lot is full when she drives by on her way to work. I wasn't expecting much, wow was I surprised.
I saw several things that I wanted to try but stuck with the Ruben so I could have something to judge by. It was delicious and huge. I took half my sandwich home. My mother had their Chicken Alfredo (She let me taste it and it was very yummy), Her's was also a huge portion and she took half of it home. That you can get at least two meals out of one order makes the price very reasonable. The kids menu offered more then just one choice for my 2 year old picky eater. My Daughter ate almost every thing on her plate. There are so many other dishes on the menu that I would like to try, and now that I know how well they can do standard dishes I can't wait to try the other options.
As for service I found them to be very pleasant, and helpful. The owner was there, and he even came over to refill our glasses, and have a nice little chat about my daughter's age and his own grandson. As we left my daughter went over to the tree they have up for Christmas, and they offered her a candy cane. She was delighted, and talked about her candy cane all the way home.
I will be back often if this is always the experience. :)
This place has changed big time! It is now a non-smoking establishment and the food tastes 100% better. The owner seems friendlier and his wait staff is attentive. Yes, I'll be back often and bring others!
Friendly, caring wait staff, good food ranging from traditional mid-western comfort food to surprising selections with unique, chef inspired entrees with creative sauces and marines. I guess I'm one of the boring, unhealthy retired patrons that Bob Bridges mentioned in his uneducated and unintelligent review. Easily 9 out of 10 of those regulars are retired military, retired fire fighters or ex cops and soldiers. Boring Bob? Unhealthy Bob? What have you done with your life? How many countries have you experienced culinary offerings in? From the looks of the restaurants you don't like here in Indy, I I believe folks interested in a true dining experience would be wise to ignore any and all of your self absorbing, egotistical reviews.
Tabatha was so friendly and conversational! 5 stars!! Service was great! We came in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a few beers and cheese pizza, my boyfriend and I cannot complain. Pizza was so good! Yeah it was outdated but we love a laid back quiet vibe, its the perfect location for us! Like I said, no complaints. We will most likely be back every Sunday afternoon which we are hoping you will be open! I work full time and Sunday’s are really the only convenient day to come and have a drink and hang out for a few hours. Thank you so much, Tabatha and Lord Ashely’s!
The Bourbon burger my husband had he said was 5/5. Simple but delicious. The salmon I had was good. I would recommend cooking it with some sauce to crispy it on. Otherwise it was good.
Price for food and drink make everything even better.
Been 5 times now since moving to Indy and will be back again.
Stopped by for our 1st time. Food for the price was absolutely worth it.
Enjoyed a blacked chicken salad and wife did the Cajun shrimp penne , did a side baked potato. Good beer prices as well. Will absolutely be back.

I read a review in Nextdoor to check this place out so here I am. “Was out of this world amazing” like they said on Nextdoor? No, but it’s not as bad as people make it on google….
Yes the carpet is old and walls need painted but your not eating off it, your wearing shoes, and eating on a table…. How about all those people complaining about the decor start a go fund me to help them out. This place is clearly family owned and operated, I’m sure they struggled during COVID so relax and help out or don’t.
Decor: the place needs to be updated but serves it’s purpose well. It’s a bar and family restaurant.
Staff: super friendly! Waitress is very nice and welcoming. Good people.
Drink Service: never an empty glass
Food: cheese fries okay, nothing special, fries are excellent without cheese. Not a fan of the ranch. Salad my wife liked. Beef Manhattan was a 8/10, well delivered, wish it was brisket vs roast beef but that’s is personal preference.
Chicken cordon bleu was good, green beans good, and potato salad were okay. Honey chicken was very good, a little more sauce. Chicken was seasoned and cooked well. Rice was very good.
I’m 100% overlooking the decor on this review, update everything “decor” it’s still 4/5.
Will be back!
The number of dining establishments I'm willing to spend my hard earned money at keeps getting smaller and smaller, BUT I am glad to say that Lord Ashley's is now on my go to list. Just happened to stop in on Fri night and the ribeye was a special, damn it was great, seasoned perfectly and cooked to medium rare WITH excellent charring for that perfect smoky flavor, the sauteed red potatoes were excellent also and the perfect accompaniment to the steak.
Excellent beer choices and friendly staff rounded out the night.
Looking forward to my next experience!
The All You Can Eat Breakfast was probably the best quality I’ve had. Really tasty! Friendly staff too!
I’d give it 5 stars if the place wasn’t so outdated.
Service was a bit slow especially waiting for our tab and for them to take our payment, but the food tasted great. My seafood pasta with seafood and crab was very good, and my husband enjoyed his chicken and cheese quesadilla.

The made to order "all you can eat" breakfast is fantastic. Worth every penny. The bacon makes me very happy.
The only bad thing I have to say is that the decor is a tad bit out dated. Other than that the bartender was super sweet and welcoming and the food... Absolutely AMAZING! Best place iv found to get burgers.

Okay food....burgers are great. They have unlimited breakfast Saturdays and Sundays.
French dip sandwich is my favorite and I always enjoy going on a Saturday night to see karaoke I think the prices are fair and reasonable for the amount of food you get
The weekend All you can eat breakfast is amazing. There's a large list of made to order items available. Good food and great staff!
Great experience tonight at Lord Ashley's Pub. Our food was prepared as requested and was delicious. We started with the chicken noodle soup that turned out to be some real comfort food and was well seasoned. The roast beef topper sandwich was excellent. My wife had the ultimate chicken sandwich our server delightful. And we got to sit by the fire place after trying to get the table for over a year!
