one of yr cooks is one hell of a great cook. the best in jacksonville, fl. at the baymeadows area shop. he has been noted in the past as management material.. . he's tim haynes. dont believe me, ask him how to cook anything and he's got a great way to do it. i know from sampling his works. he is also a great team player, he's always ready to pick up where his team mate needs help. i truly believe that the restaurant is wasting a valuable chef. he not only cares about the food he sends to his customers, but he cares for the people he works with. i am hoping that this will place him where he truly belongs. at least try him out, what do y got to lose. he could be the answer to yr problems. isn't that why y hired him? to solve problems. thank u. i and all of jacksonville have read the reviews. pull him to the side and ask him to cook anything, bet my next superbowl ticket, he's on target. last but not least- he motivates others to push to the limits.the reviews not good? he's yr answer!
Neighborhood dive.. This place is not bad for the Baymeadows area. They have a happy hour daily and the food is passable. They actually make a pretty good cheesesteak and those are hard to find in Jax.
Always a good crowd late afternoon, and the bartenders are friendly and take pretty good care of their customer. The problem with this joint is that its so dated. They have ancient rear projection TVs scattered all about, and the only flat screen is over the bar....thats it, one TV over the bar, so a good place to watch football games this AIN'T. Probably the best thing about Gator's is that its located right next to a Dollar Tree so you're saving gas money. LOL
So if you want to grab a bite, take a group to happy hour, or just hang out this is a fun place. But for ball games you will find me at the Tap Room down the street behind Chili's.
Great wings. Went with friends for team trivia night a couple of times now. Great grilled wings and great, friendly service.
Very good food, excellent day bartender, great service
Good for lunch. I like the wings and burgers. Service has been spotty.

+4.5
Wings!. A great selection of different wing flavors (lemon garlic is awesome!) and getting them grilled is really good too.
Also this is the best, and one of the only places I know of to get a Monte Cristo since all the Bennigans closed. It is one of my guilty pleasures!
A good place to get a bite to eat. One of the few places that has a true Monte Crosto sandwich. High top tables too uncomfortable to stay and watch a game.
Mondays is all you can eat wings for $10. The place is fun and the service is great!! Love the wings especially on Mondays!!
...Gator's has a lunch special every day of the week where you get 10 wings, fries, and a drink for 10.99. Not a bad price when you consider the fact that you are getting the best grilled wings in Florida, and I've tasted wings all over the state.
The food is incredible. The atmosphere is incredible with lots of TV's for watching games. However, the service leaves something to be desired. It wasn't a deal breaker but it was bad enough the large group I was with grumbled about it.
We were hunting for some fried wings, just driving around, then we saw Gator's. We each ordered 10 breaded fried wings with an assortment of sauces on the side.
The wings had a crispy crust and not a heavy batter. Crispy moist and juicy. Delicious. We brought a few home for later.
The employees and customers are friendly. It's a nice at-home feeling atmosphere. Kids and parents enjoy the games and fun alike. I would recommend this game room for great fun and the wings are Delicious.!!!!!!
The service was phenomenal! Kelly offered us so much extra care and made sure we were enjoying our experience! The food was also beyond expectations! The big pretzel was delicious and perfectly crispy with the right amount of doughy! Definitely all of the food tasted fresh made. I recommend the wings "Gator style" they were shocking how well prepared and balanced with sauce flavor! Not drowning and not dry! Fight night has no cover and is first come first serve with specials for the event! 100% worth checking out!
I lived in Jacksonville for 12 years. This place has been there for 20 or more. It did not disappoint. It's the same old welcoming place that makes you feel like you're home if you're a local. The food was way better than I expected it to be. Some of the menu items are actually pretty innovative. Try the tacos and was very surprised to find fried avocado. Wings were delicious as well. Drinks were not as strong as I liked but they were on special. If I were sitting at the bar I bet I'd be taken care of better. The service was good as well. Although this girl was going out of her way to speak in 20 different accents. Which was entertaining and annoying at the same time. Not really a complaint.
I love Lucy and the wings are awesome and a good selection of craft local brews
Our waitress Gabby was amazing! There's a pool table which was awesome. We each got wings which were a little small but the flavor was good. The parking was plenty. I moderately recommend. I can see this place easily getting busy but we got our food in a great time and the service was above superior to most other places
Been here many times.Food is usually good, service is usually good. Like anywhere sometimes it can be bad. My only complaint is the all you can eat nights. I'm almost positive they intentionally take a long time making your order after a couple reorders, you looking at about 20 minutes between each reorder of 5 wings. I'll be lying if I say I havent actually left the all you can eat wing night still hungry because after 2 hours they've only managed to bring out about 30 wings.
I visited during a poker tournament. Though the place was packed; the most impressive thing to me was the service. Our server was on-point, friendly and definitely made us feel welcome. The wings were good. Food hot. 2-for-1 drinks made for a great visit.
Great food, nice staff. Wings are delicious and theu have a decent beer selection.
Great, relaxed atmosphere; friendly and helpful staff; and great food! The restaurant was bright and clean. Randy, the bartender, was outstanding! Despite the fact that the bar was almost full, he kept food and drink coming to everyone at a steady pace without any mistakes! The grilled wings were simply amazing! The texture was firm, yet the wings were still juicy inside. I had the Nashville flavor. It was a bit peppery for my taste, but they have many options, which I'll be very eager to try the next time I'm in Jacksonville!
The service and attitude of the wait staff and management were extremely poor.
It was supposed to be all you can eat wing night but turned into all you can wait night.
We had to complain twice to the manager but received an I could care less attitude. The waitress finally after after about 30 minutes came back by and asked how was our reorder and I replied, do you see a plate.
In all we were there 2 1/2 hours and finally the manager said he would take care of us. After that long a wait he discounted us $7 LOL. Maybe they don't need my money that bad.
I will say that normally we have a much better experience.
I'm from St. Louis and had never tried fish dip, it was very good. The Cuban was good, but needed a little something.
I went to this location to see if anything had changed from my last visit. When I visited a few months back I was very disappointed with my visit, but wow has it changed. Our server Amber was incredible, she took the time to explain menu items and really knew her stuff. She brought our drinks out quickly, stayed on top of what we needed, and actually cared about what we were saying. We took her advice and ordered the pick 3 appetizer, the gyro and we got the extra gyro, we also got wings everything tasted amazing and very fresh. We will defintely be coming back and asking for Amber!
