We made a quick stop here on our way home to Friendswood. Everyone there welcomed us as home. Chef Casey, May God Bless Him, Amazing soul I have ever met. Ms. Evelyn, our server, suggested to get the oxtail and I so happy that I made that choice. I not only ate most of it also saved some for dinner. My husband had the breakfast and he loved it. This place is 2hours drive worthy. To top it off, we were treated with house made dessert! Just want to repeat like chef Casey said, I am home’! Thank you for everything.
It was quite a surprise to learn it was Houston Restaurant Weeks when we got there. We made a reservation but was able to be seated immediately. The owner made table rounds, our server never let our glasses go empty, and the DJ had us wiggling in our seats. The food? Hands down delicious! Fresh, well marinated, and to perfection. I recommend this place to everyone who wants a great dining experience created with love.
The food is awesome every time I eat here. The empanadas are delicious and filled with meat. The Friday Monster pork chop special was very good. Chops were very tender. Chef Casey is always gracious and hospitable. However, the service on my recent visit was a bit spotty. The place was not even full. I had to ask twice for our two ice teas. Did not get them unless we were almost done with appetizers. It is ice tea. There is nothing to make. Just pour it into two glasses and bring it to the table! The waitress was very nice but was either overwhelmed or just having a bad day. Overall, it is not a big deal but since I do tip over 20% or more I do expect a certain level of service. I will certainly be back to try the many other delicious things on the menu. Keep up the excellent work Chef Casey!
