This is a small place on Convoy. I've gone a few times now and I've seen up to 2 employees working. Shaving ice seems to be a somewhat slow, but tasty business. I've never waited in much of a line, but when going with a friend it generally takes 5-10 minutes to get both orders settled. It's still worth it. They'll put ice cream on the bottom, layer in adzuki beans or mochi, and have a decent array of syrup flavors. A note of caution: These things are big. Get the "tiny" (size of your head) unless you plan to share. Just as good, if not better than the north shore. Fantastic shave ice.
Born and raised in Hawaii and of course there's Matsumoto's. Since moving here from Hawaii no one came even close to Matsumoto's Shaved Ice until a friend of mine took me to Ice Blast. They are the ONLY ONE that can give Matsumoto's a run for their money. Highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable and the shave ice is HUGE. So glad my friend introduced me to this place
I wanted shaved ice, and found this on near by places. My sister was wondering what I was getting her into. The place was very quiet with just a family of 4. First thing you do is pick the size you want, I ordered a small, my sis asked for a medium and he asked her if she was sure. She didn't notice that above the cup was a colored shaved ice showing that it reached maybe 4 or 5 inches higher than the edge of the cup. She quickly changed hers to small. I ended up getting the "pretty in pink" with condense milk. It was a combination of strawberry, raspberry and something else I can't remember. She ended up getting pina colada with condense milk and ice cream on the bottom. We both really like our order. I know the idea of condense milk sounds weird, but do it, it's good. I just wished there was more condense milk on it.
