The veggie omelette and the chicken apple sausage plate were both excellent. The hash-browns especially were delicious - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Huge portions, and really excellent diner fare.
We went on a whim to HARRY's COFFEE SHOP today, just because my partner was in the mood for some pancakes.
We got a disabled parking spot in their parking lot in the back of the restaurant, and were seated right away.
I always wanted to try their EGGS FLORENTINE, and it didn't disappoint!!! I asked for how they do it on their website with raisin bread and it was delicious. It was also so pretty to look at!!!
My partner had something new, the SUPERFECTA. I have had it about three or four times before, loved it. He loved it too.
I had so much food that I had to take some home for breakfast tomorrow.
We had a great server named Kathy, who was very nice, and on the ball.
Okay. Let's get to the important stuff right off the bat (cliche' noted). There is a rather large and free parking lot behind the building that I don't think ever gets mentioned. But a warning about the lot. It's designed, as an accident I have to assume, as two parallel "one way" parking aisles. Meaning that if you drive though one aisle you can't flip around and go up the second aisle. Each is designed in the same direction. This can be denoted but arrows painted "point to point". They just need to restripe one of the lanes. Oh, and there is a back entrance right off the parking lot.
Next....there is only one, single occupant restroom. So please don't wait till the last minute to relieve yourself. You might have an accident.
The place has a ton of seating and a relatively small kitchen and even smaller dishwashing room located next to the single occupant restroom.
The staff is fantastic and the portions are very generous. The bloody Marie is good and on the spicy side.
It's a great value and really enjoyable.
