I got a chance to compare two boules of sourdough rye, one from the vaunted Acme Bread Company, which I bought in San Francisco, and the other from Smitty Bread. Smitty's is not only better, but much better! More rye flavor. Do not pass up this world-class bakery right in our own backyard. Way to go, Smitty!

Stopped in today for some weekend treats. The almond croissant was warm, flakey, and delicious. Probably the best I've ever had (which says a lot because I've traveled much of Europe). Service was super sweet and friendly, too. Highly recommend!

So far we have tried the seeded sourdough bread, croissant, almond croissant & the baguette and it is by far the best in town. Definitely recommend it.
