I want to start this review by saying that I am a travel blogger. That means I have enjoyed (or not) many restaurants around the globe. With that said, know that Jons Kebab House is one of the most delicious meals I have enjoyed. While this is a "no frills" restaurant (patio seating with picnic tables) - the gastro experience is a SOLID 5 STARS! The owner (perhaps his name is Jon?) was extremely attentive. All were quite understanding and accommodating about my tomato allergy and even brought out "bonus" treats individualized according to allergies and palate. Since it was my hubby's birthday, it was a very fun surprise to have the owner bring him a rice pudding adorned with special spices. Quite the surprise! This is a culinary gem in San Diego County near Santee Lake Recreation resort. Go! and then ... GO AGAIN!

OMG. Ok I've only ever left a review for one other restaurant. This place most definitely deserves one as well. First off, the owner was so sweet and let my fiancee try the dishes first to make sure we like it...how sweet is that?! Ok on the food... the FOOD. I took my first bite of the Lamb Karahi(the one in the middle) and literally stopped and thought "... omg thats. SO. GOOD." I then took a bite of all of the other dishes and thought the same thing. Literally every dish. Their hummus was THE smoothest hummus I've ever had. The Eggplant Pakora was nice and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The flavoring on it was just insane. I know it's an appetizer but I could go back just for that. The Chicken Qabuly was seasoned so perfectly. The chicken, the rice, the salad....just perfection. My fiancee inhaled it. The Spinach Curry was so flavorful and cooked so well. It was so filling and again, seasoned so perfectly you don't even miss meat. Their food was all so flavorful but not overpowering. Everything was cooked to tender perfection. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here. A+++++++++
