We were here a year ago while we were camping at Forest Lake and really enjoyed the BBQ. Now we're back again, and the BBQ is still just as delicious. The smoke coming out of the smoker smelled so good! The service here is friendly and fast and the food is priced right. I got a small chopped tray with red slaw. It was nice and smoky, and oh, so good. And the hushpuppies are addictive. Hubs got a chili cheeseburger and a small chopped tray. He loved it because he pretty much inhaled it! Servings are very generous. Thanks for a great meal and service.

This restaurant serves "Lexington Style" Barbeque, which is usually pit cooked pork shoulders. This style of BBQ maybe leaner and dryer than some are accustomed to, but if you like Lexington Style or would like to try it, I recommend this restaurant. We recently stopped in and ordered "to-go" from the counter. Three chopped sandwiches, three fries, and three teas were a reasonable $27. The food was ready in 5 minutes and we were quickly on our way. I do recommend asking for the BBQ sauce, which is vinegar based and comes in a small container so you can add to taste. Red and white slaw is available. I recommend red, it goes better with this style of BBQ. Our food was excellent.

Good barbq. But the cobbler is nothing more than canned pie filling with lumps of unbaked dough that sticks to your teeth. Very disappointed in paying for the 3.00 cup of dough. At least it could be a homemade filling baked in a pie shell with a crunchy topping.
