Before preparing my meal, one of the employees hands me Matbucha (Tomatoes, Garlic, and maybe other ingredients), and Green Rice (Lemon, Parsley, Chickpeas, and Garlic) to try: I like the tastes of both of them separately; the Matbucha I try is generally the way I like my tomatoes (if not fresh, straight out the fridge), and the Green Rice is flavorful as well as soft (as I remember the Chickpeas being). My main course, The Falafel Pita, is really filling, flavorful, and tasty: I prefer eating Falafel this way. The fries are good too though maybe serving them in aluminum foil might help them maintain their crisp (or cooking them with less oil/longer, not really greasy, just prefer crispy fries). All of the meal options I mention taste really good without any sauce. Of the sauces, I like the Red Shatta because I like spicy sauces, it's spicier than flavorful which I don't mind since the food already is flavorful, and juicy. The Amba Yellow and Sesame Tahini taste really good. I prefer the Red Shatta on the Falafel Pita and the Amba Yellow with the fries. The customer service is really good: the employees are kind and patient.
Oh Hippea, how do I love thee? With plenty of the yellow sauce and turnips.
I haven’t been here in probably two years and I just got misty eyed after inhaling an indie box. I was so happy to discover that nothing has changed. Everything is so fresh and delicious and perfectly prepared. All the flavors are the same and the staff was just as friendly and inviting as I remember.
Fresh pita bread. Gluten free options (no pita so bowl or cone options). Great falafel really fresh stuff. Very nice people as well. If I lived closer I would be there all the time. And last but not least amazingly good sauces.
