I'm glad a no-frills place like this still exists in the neighborhood. It's a simple American-Chinese takeout place and don't expect any more than that. The woman at the counter is always friendly and efficient. There's plenty of seating and tables at the restaurant, but it's not he nicest decor. They also don't seem to keep the heat on in the winter. Still, I'd rather have this than some upscale place serving me the same food but charging me twice the price.
Eh, this Chinese restaurant is better than the others in the area, but still haven’t found my place yet. Maybe it’s because I’m from Long Island and there is a great Chinese takeout place in every town, or maybe it’s because I just am not looking in the right spots. Anyway, the soup is good, the regular dishes are just okay. Delivery is quick and prices are normal.
Based on it's location, this is the best value for money in that Court Square area. They smartly include the tax into their final price, so if they say, for example, a dozen wontons cost "X" amount; that's all you pay inclusive of tax. Not like every other damn place in America, where the price is "Y", then you have to budget for the tax as well. This place is one price, tax in. Brilliant! Hence why every other developed nation in the Western world does it. Soo let's talk about the food. It's great. It's delicious - try the pork, it's incredible. Everything is fresh. My only complaint, is that during lunch hours, they don't refill the daily menu, as often of I would like. So if you miss that pork at lunch time. Jah! You screwed. Overall good food, even better value.
